Bran Symondson x Everrati X GULF OIL: A Union of Art, Innovation, and Environmental Consciousness

Porsche 911 x Bran Symondson

In a ground-breaking fusion of art, technology, and sustainability,

Renowned artist Bran Symondson has teamed up with Everrati Automotive to transform a classic Porsche 911 into a moving work of art — one that speaks as much to the soul as it does to the future of our planet.

Everrati is redefining what it means to drive with purpose. Known for their revolutionary work converting iconic classic cars into high-performance electric vehicles, Everrati is on a mission to preserve automotive heritage while protecting the environment. Their vision breathes new life into cherished machines, replacing combustion engines with clean electric powertrains — proving that timeless design can meet cutting-edge sustainability.

For this collaboration, Everrati presented Bran with a Porsche 911 restored and reimagined in the legendary Gulf livery — instantly evoking the thrill of vintage motorsport and the spirit of Steve McQueen, a lifelong inspiration for Bran. But it wasn’t just the aesthetics that drew Bran to the project. As a passionate environmentalist and lover of classic cars, Bran saw the opportunity to merge his art with a cause that lies at the very heart of his work: the preservation of nature and biodiversity.

Bran’s art is deeply rooted in transformation — turning symbols of violence and destruction, like AK-47s, into canvases adorned with delicate butterflies. These metamorphosed sculptures are a powerful commentary on conflict, beauty, and fragility. His work reminds us of what we stand to lose — and what we can still protect.

Motivated by the environmental mission behind Everrati’s work, Bran explored how the automotive industry impacts the natural world — particularly pollinators like butterflies and bees. Modern car manufacturing and air pollution contribute to the collapse of ecosystems by disrupting the scent trails flowers emit, making it harder for pollinators to feed, reproduce, and survive. For Bran, this connection was undeniable: “Every new car off the line adds to the burden. But reimagining existing vehicles — giving them a second life through electrification — is a step toward working with nature, not against it.”

Inspired by the Gulf Oil livery’s iconic palette, Bran returned to the butterfly species featured in his sculptural work. He photographed the vibrant Monarch and Blue Morpho butterflies, their wings echoing the Gulf's blue and orange stripes. These photographs were then digitally manipulated to create a bespoke carbon fibre wrap — a poetic visual of butterflies fluttering across and landing on the Porsche’s sleek curves. The result is a car that doesn’t just nod to the past or point to the future, but exists in harmony with the present — an electric vehicle adorned with the very symbols of nature it aims to protect.

This collaboration represents a rare synthesis of ethics and aesthetics, where sustainable innovation meets artistic vision. Everrati and Bran are showing the world that we don’t need to keep creating from scratch — we can honour what already exists and make it better, smarter, and more beautiful.

Together, they remind us that true progress isn’t about choosing between heritage and the environment — it’s about finding the creative courage to merge the two.
